Ombrera is a small European atelier working at the meeting of design, materials and light. We craft parasols and shade for hotels, restaurants and private gardens that want their outdoor spaces to feel composed — not furnished.
Origins
A word borrowed from the Italian for shadow.
Ombra is the shade that softens a Mediterranean afternoon. We named ourselves for it because the work we do is to shape that shade — discretely, deliberately, to fit a place.
Behind the brand sits a long-established production atelier in Zhejiang, China, with European sales and specification. This is how we offer single-piece bespoke work at the price of small series: by combining disciplined, modern manufacturing with European craft sensibility.
Method
Quiet craft, proven materials.
- ✓Frames. Powder-coated aluminium and galvanised steel, dimensioned for coastal wind and continental sun. Replaceable ribs as standard.
- ✓Fabrics. 305 g/m² solution-dyed polyester for parasols; 140 g/m² PA-coated polyester for shade sails. UV-rated, colour-fast grade 3 to 6+.
- ✓Mechanisms. Crank or push-up, full 360° rotation on cantilever models, integrated LED hub and optional solar charging on selected models.
- ✓Service. Insured European freight, installation coordination, lifetime fabric replacement.
